Veterans Day
What is Veterans Day. This is a day we give thanks to the brave men and women who served and are serving our country in wartime. Is for them that our family can sleep at night in freedom.
I think people of this day are my father, who served in the Korean fiasco. His plane was shot down over what is now North Korea and thirteen people was the only one out alive. I think of my wife, who served during the Gulf War, the supply of ships on their way to the Arabian Peninsula. I also think people do not really know too well. The postman in our office, who returned from Iraq two years ago. I remember when he was out all the photos of what was in the walls of the office. Just two years ago it seemed that Americans were more supportive of our troops. Allot of postmen and post women are veterans. They Veterans Day. If you see them in the post office or delivery of your email just to say thanks.
I would also like to thank all the families who gave up their sons or daughters, so we can be free. The Fort Hood soldiers killed in last week should be considered veterans. They were killed by the enemy, not foreign, but domestic, who swore and oath to defend our Constitution against. I hope the public does not buy into this being a work stress-related shooting. That's a lot of nonsense. Veterans and their families deserve the same recognition as a soldier who died in combat overseas.
It is because of our brave veterans who served our country we still have freedom of religion, expression, right to bear arms, and all other liberties that our Constitution gives us. Thank you for serving my country.
